EQUIPMENT — SERVERS

Servers

Rack, tower, and blade servers for virtualization, databases, and general compute — sized to the workload, not just the budget.

Choosing the right form factor

The form factor question comes down to density, serviceability, and where the box actually lives. Rack servers remain the default for anything going into a proper server room or colocation cage — they make the best use of vertical space and are the easiest to standardize spare parts and rail kits around.

Tower servers still make sense for small offices, branch locations, or edge sites without a rack or dedicated cooling — quieter, self-contained, and easier for non-specialist staff to service.

Blade and modular systems earn their complexity at scale, where shared power, cooling, and networking across a chassis meaningfully cut cost per node — but they lock you into that chassis family for years, so we only recommend them when the density actually pays off.

What we configure before it ships

A server that arrives as a bare chassis with drives in a box is not a configured server. Every unit we ship has gone through the same checklist:

  • RAID and storage arrays built to spec, not left at factory defaults
  • Firmware and BIOS aligned to a tested, supported baseline
  • Burn-in testing under load before it's boxed
  • Asset tags and serials logged against your PO for warranty and audit purposes

Common deployments

Most of what we ship falls into a handful of patterns: virtualization hosts running ESXi or Hyper-V clusters, dedicated database servers where storage I/O is the bottleneck that matters, general-purpose application servers, and increasingly compact edge nodes for sites that need local compute without a full server room.
